Financial Assistance Program (PAF) for students

Financial Assistance Program (PAF) for students

By supporting this cause, you can help young people who have the best academic profiles, but without your financial help ,they can not afford their studies. These candidates will become tomorrow managers, graduated from IESA, who will give their support and retribution to new applicants, giving your contribution a multiplier effect. If you are a graduate of IESA, through our donation system you can make sure today that other people have the opportunity that you had.

The objective of the PAF is to ensure that those applicants who have the merits to study in any of IESA’s masters, but who do not have the financial resources to do so, can receive credits, with total or partial repayment exemption (depending on their grade point average) to study the Postgraduate program of their choice.

This program was distinguished in January 2016 by the MBA Association (AMBA) with the “MBA Innovation Award” as an innovative practice in business schools.

What are the characteristics of the PAF?

The PAF uses funds from donations from allies and sponsors, who see in this program an attractive option to contribute to IESA’s mission. These funds are granted as loans, so students must, after completing their master’s studies, make the respective payments. The program has the key collaboration of banks, which administer the funds, through a trust fund.

Those students who are favored by the Financial Assistance Program must sign a contract whereby they undertake to repay the financing according to the conditions established by the banking institution. Amortization of financial assistance allows other students who, having the credentials to study at IESA, cannot afford to do so because of lack of funding to also be helped in the future.

PAF financing conditions are at preferential rates, with the possibility of total or partial cancellation of the credit based on the final results of the student’s grade point average. At the beginning of their studies, IESA Foundation performs an analysis of each case and decides in which percentage to support the student tuition requirements.

Scholarships

Another mechanism for financial aid for students is that of scholarships. These are granted upon entering the masters. To obtain scholarships, students who request them go through a selection process, which considers academic criteria and socioeconomic conditions. The funds for the scholarships come from donations made to the IESA Foundation from individual donors or institutions. Those students favored with scholarships, sign a contract that establishes the conditions to maintain them.
