Dear friend:
After sending you a special greeting, I would like to begin by highlighting the commitment of the Institute of Advanced Management Studies (IESA) in the development of leaders and responsible managers that contribute to the success of public and private organizations.
We are convinced that the contribution of IESA – one of the best reputed management schools in Latin America, with four international accreditations – is fundamental for the development of society and the establishment of values and sound management practices, entrepreneurship and progress in Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean.
This commitment has materialized in the midst of an extremely demanding environment, determined by the Venezuelan economic, social and institutional circumstances of recent years. Despite these conditions, the excellence that our alumni experienced when they studied is still present in our classrooms. That is why, in order to maintain these standards and continue its work, the Institute needs funds from sources other than its own operation, in view of the significant impact of the accelerated inflation affecting Venezuelans.
Indeed, in times past – and notwithstanding the consistent support of those who traditionally have been our allies – it is imperative to broaden the base of voluntary contributions, as is the practice of many academic institutions in the world.
For this reason, as President of the IESA Foundation, I invite you to join our cause. Your efforts will make possible that valuable young people – many of them without the economic resources to afford their studies but with the best intellectual credentials -, graduate in our school of management and acquire the necessary tools and insights to transform them into responsible leaders and managers.
Your effort will serve to maintain our infrastructure, retain one of the best professorial bodies in Latin America, and above all, to support the Financial Aid Program (PAF) so that valuable young people – many of them without the purchasing power to pay for their studies but with the best credentials -, are formed in our Management School and acquire the necessary tools and knowledge to make them responsible leaders and managers.
The success of PAF rests upon the generous collaboration of a group of individuals and enterprises that have joined the endeavour of the IESA Foundation raising funds campaigns, as well as the support of banking entities that manage the funds through a trust. The student signs a loan agreement with the terms and conditions established by the bank.
By doing so, we create a multiplier effect, ensuring that the aid we provide today will be rendered and increased by the beneficiaries, as thus favor new candidates. You will find details of how this program works in this website. In order to boost this multiplier effect, our traditional donors have pledged to contribute matching funds to those received during this year’s campaign.
We wish to remain the conduit for many professionals to expand their perspectives and positively influence their environment. You can be a key ally, with a contribution that is within your reach. If you are an IESA graduate, the opportunity is in your hands to provide other people with the same experience you had. Remember that IESA brought you great benefits; now is the time to reciprocate. Your school needs your help to develop more managers. Be assured that each contribution is valuable and will be well received and responsibly managed.
I wish to thank you in advance for your support to this noble cause of forming future managers and leaders.
Gustavo Vollmer
